Our company belongs to modern and progressive companies that think about building collegial relationships and getting to know each other outside of work. Regularly, once a month, we take a break from the hustle and bustle of work for some activity – sometimes active, sometimes less so – during which we always recharge our energy for better work performance. Where did our steps lead in October and November and what did we experience during these teambuilding events? <\/p>\n\n

Karts <\/h2>\n\n

Our Slovak department from the headquarters decided to experience a bit of adrenaline on one October afternoon – kart racing. We went to the spa town of Slia\u010d between Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica and Zvolen, where this attraction is located. For several of us it was the first time in our lives, but definitely not the last. Everyone who participated drove three laps, which we really liked and enjoyed. Eight minutes of adrenaline ride passed like water. And even though we drove the kart for a total of 24 minutes, it seemed like a moment. <\/p>\n\n

Bowling <\/h2>\n\n

In November, the choice of our activity was clear. We went bowling after work and had a good time. Our paths led to a spot in Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica. With colleagues who were playing for the first time, it didn’t seem like that at all. Because they did pretty well for the first time. We had fun and had a great experience. An hour of quality time was not enough for us, so we will definitely visit the bowling alley again soon. <\/p>\n\n

The Cathedral of St. Elizabeth in Ko\u0161ice<\/h2>\n\n

Our Hungarian department working in the metropolis of the East, in Ko\u0161ice, went on an excursion to the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth. So my colleagues spent a nice time with a home trip. They were accompanied by the most famous Slovak guide Milan Kolcun. They learned interesting information about the interior of this beautiful historical building. <\/p>\n\n

Hubert’s Ride 2022 <\/h2>\n\n

Next month, the Ko\u0161ice department watched Hubert’s ride, an annual tradition organized by the only veterinary university in Slovakia – the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Ko\u0161ice. This celebration brings the riding and hunting season to a close. Riders on horses set off from the premises of the university across the city to Hlavn\u00e1 Street, where they gathered in front of the State Theatre. After speeches and greetings, they were decorated and the ceremony ended with a hunt for the “fox”, when the riders, led by the master (the leader of the hunt), set off into the Ko\u0161ice forests to chase the symbolic prey. The weather was also ideal for enjoying cakes and good coffee in a French caf\u00e9 owned by a true Parisian with his Slovak wife. On their return to the office, the colleagues also met foresters, to whom they had contributed their signatures to a petition against cutting down trees in the forests around Ko\u0161ice. They have done such a good deed for our nature. <\/p>\n\n

A visit to the cinema <\/h2>\n\n

Our Romanian colleagues chose to visit the cinema and relax with a good movie as part of their November teambuilding. They watched a themed comedy called Teambuilding, which they chose on purpose. The Romanian film is set in the environment of a large company that organises a team building. It will bring together all colleagues from each branch and therefore from the whole company. <\/p>\n\n

What do Atenians think about teambuilding? <\/h2>\n\n

We asked a few of our colleagues how they like teambuilding and how they perceive this corporate culture activity. <\/p>\n\n

Peda from the Croatian department: ‘I really enjoyed the karting. It was my first time and I hope I will be able to do it again in the future. I perceive teambuilding very positively in terms of getting to know my colleagues better, but also as a necessary change in everyday life. :)” <\/em> <\/p>\n\n

\u013dudo from the billing department: “Such activities are good, we air our heads, have fun, get to know each other better and come up with new ideas.:) I think it’s a great way to relax with colleagues after work, which we often need and probably need more often. :D” <\/p>\n\n

Maria from the Romanian department: ‘What I like most about teambuilding is that we have the opportunity to get to know our colleagues from a different angle. For example, we get to know the things we like to do in our free time, whether we like to travel, so it’s easier to think of other teambuilding events we could organise to keep everyone happy and have fun. It’s also a very good opportunity to take a break from work and the monotony of everyday life for a while. As for the last teambuilding, I can say that it was very entertaining and relaxing because we were able to watch a Romanian comedy, which was also called Teambuilding. I can say that we found ourselves in some moments of the movie, which made us laugh even more. We also promoted Romanian film production so that people would watch it more. Some films really have the potential to be successful. I can say that this film was one of the best Romanian comedies in recent years, which makes me proud.” <\/p>\n\n

Vikt\u00f3ria from the Hungarian department: ‘Teambuilding constantly motivates us and at the same time improves relations between colleagues. During the last teambuilding we had the opportunity to visit the historical part of the city, where we saw the beautiful ceremony of the end of the riding season (Hubert’s ride) and also heard a very interesting lecture about the St. Elisabeth Cathedral.” <\/p>\n\n

Andela from the Croatian department: ‘Go-karting was an experience I didn’t know would be so interesting. To experience adrenaline is a good thing. People should do an activity at least twice a month to feel free and fresh.” <\/p>\n\n
