V Athens we are constantly inventing and introducing new innovations, which is part of the vision of any company that aspires to be successful. This year we have achieved a significant success that we have been working towards for a long time. We can boast new collaborations with major employers.
Cooperation with international currencies
We have won new business contracts. We are signing a cooperation agreement with two companies on an international level. They are the Volkswagen car factory and the shipping company DHL. The German company DHL was founded in 1969. Volkswagen is also a German-based carmaker and one of the world’s largest automotive concerns. It was founded in 1937 and expanded to the territory of today’s Slovakia in 1991. It produces cars such as Skoda, Seat, Porsche, Audi, Bugatti and Lamborghini. The Slovak branch is unique in the world in that five car brands (Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Škoda, Seat) are produced here in one place. In its more than 30-year history, more than 6.5 million cars have been built there. Models produced in Bratislava are exported to 148 countries worldwide. The biggest buyers of vehicles are countries such as China, the USA and Germany. The factory has available for high school students dual education .
New jobs created
Volkswagen Slovakia, based in Bratislava in the Devínska Nová Ves district, is expanding and building new halls. Production of new models – Volkswagen Passat and Skoda SuperB– starts, which will open up job opportunities for many people. Up to 2 000 vacancies are expected to be created. These will mainly be positions as production workers for the assembly of vehicles in a three-shift operation which are interesting in terms of financial remuneration. The average monthly salary can be up to 1500€ gross (together with personal assessment, bonuses, 13. and 14th salary).
For people without qualifications from underdeveloped regions
People, both men and women, with no qualifications whatsoever, have the chance to get a job. You just need to have completed primary education and have experience in similar work. Workers are waiting for training . We start to mediate them from March. We also provide accommodation close to the company, so people from all parts of Slovakia have the opportunity, especially those from less developed regions. In addition, we will also provide a meal and transportation allowance for staff from near and far. In some cases, the job mobility allowance can also be used for employment office which we write about in the next blog.
Work in the warehouse
If you are not interested in working on a production line but prefer to work in a warehouse on a forklift, together with our new partner DHL we offer work in five locations in Western Slovakia. They are the municipalities of Gáň, Ivanka pri Dunaji and the towns of Sereď, Senec and Nitra. The position is ideal for people from the surrounding area as there is no accommodation available and it will be mainly seasonal work. With both of these collaborations, we are also providing employment opportunities for Ukrainian citizens who have come to Slovakia because of the war in their country. We are not only expanding in our home country, but we are working to make our offers more attractive in all countries of operation. We offer various job opportunities at home and abroad.
