Have you ever considered working abroad? Many people dream of travelling to new places and experiencing different cultures, but have you thought about the benefits of working abroad? If you want to take your career to the next level and want to experience life in another part of Europe, working abroad could be the perfect opportunity for you. We offer you six main reasons to do so.

Career development

It’s simple – if you widen the circle in which you’re looking for work, you can find more job opportunities. This means you have access to positions of varying levels in the area you want to grow in. Not only that, but working with people of different nationalities can broaden your perspective and allow you to see the bigger picture.

Cultural immersion

Working abroad immerses you in a new culture, which can be an enriching and rewarding experience. You will learn about different customs, traditions and ways of life, which will help you grow personally and professionally.

Acquiring language skills

Working in a foreign country can also help you learn a new language or improve your language skills. No lesson or course can help you learn a language faster than actually travelling to the country where it is spoken. And being able to speak another language is a valuable skill that will open doors to new opportunities.

Networking

Working abroad will help you build a network of international contacts that can benefit future career opportunities. You never know who you will meet or what contacts you will make.

Personal growth

Working abroad can be a challenging experience, but it can also accelerate personal growth. You will have to adapt to a new environment, meet new people and overcome obstacles. These experiences will enable you to become more independent, resilient and confident.

Higher earnings

Many Western European countries have higher average salaries thanEastern and Central Europe. Working abroad can give you the opportunity to earn more money and improve your standard of living.

How much would it cost me to move?

Moving to another country can be expensive. If we take Germany as an example, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is 634 euros. Electricity, heating, water and internet would cost you on average around 300 euros. Add to that the cost of food, medical expenses, transport and clothing, and you can easily spend more than €1,500 a month. Taking into account that we also have to pay a deposit for accommodation and wait at least a month for the first paycheck to arrive, €5,000 would be the total minimum you need – and that’s if you find a job within a few weeks of arriving.

Is there another way?

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to experience another country, immerse yourself in its culture and improve your language skills without investing a penny? That’s exactly what we do at Atena. When a caregiver works with us, we pay them for a transport in advance. As the caregivers live in the patient’s home, they do not have to pay for accommodation or food. And if caregiver needs some money, we can also give them a salary advance. This means they can have all the benefits of working abroad and all the caregiver needs is an ID card and some clothes.

By doing so, the services of Atena do not end there. We are available to our clients before, during and even after they start working with us. And thanks to our 15 years of experience and dedication, there is no problem we can’t solve.
