The graduate of the internship will receive a monthly allowance of 128,76€ from the state . This represents 65% of the minimum subsistence level of an adult natural person (minimum subsistence level). This minimum subsistence level is always determined on 1. July. The allowance is provided by the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family to cover necessary personal expenses related to the graduate practice. It is not necessary to prove expenses to the Office, however, if the graduate is commuting, a travel allowance will suffice.
Graduate trainees should remember that they can only do their traineeship with an employer who will give them the skills and experience to match their educational qualifications. For example, if you have an apprenticeship as a hairdresser/barber, we can do the apprenticeship in the hairdressing industry, or if you have a degree in economics, you can do the apprenticeship in the economic field, in a company or in an office. The employer signs a contract with the Labour, Social Affairs and Family Office. A candidate for a graduate traineeship must have been registered with the employment office for at least one month as a jobseeker.
Applicants for graduate traineeships must meet the following conditions:
- Must be under 26 years of age
- No more than 2 years must have elapsed since the completion of the full-time form of study
- Before being entered in the register of jobseekers, the jobseeker did not have a regularly paid job
Each applicant is entitled to one graduate traineeship of between three and six months.
The applicant is required to work 20 hours per week. If he does not work as much, his flat-rate allowance is reduced.
