In today’s hectic and fast-paced times, the demands on an employee’s knowledge, skills, abilities and performance are very high. That is why education is one of the fundamental goals of society in order to grow. This means that companies strive to train and continuously develop the skills of their employees, according to their job position and the company’s focus. The acquisition of new skills by employees is also closely related to the appropriate training methods to use. From the latest training methods for employees we have selected the following:
- Outdoor Training – a method used for training managers, but also for team building.
- Coaching – it is a longer-term guidance of employees by means of advice and reminders, which must not turn into commands.
- Mentoring – a version of coaching where the initiative and responsibility is taken by the mentee, who chooses a mentor to guide them in their career.
- Diagnostic-training programme (Assessment Centre) – a modern method used for training employees and managers. The participant’s personality is analyzed in detail, by performing various tasks and solving problem-solving problems. Detailed personality analysis is carried out by psychologists, managers and other specialists.
- Education in extreme situations (Outward Bound) – in this method, participants are exposed to unusual and unexpected situations, overcoming themselves. For example, bunjee jumping, or sending managers on safari where they have to hunt for food, etc. People are encouraged to be independent, teamwork and prudent.
The most common reason for employee burnout is employee stagnation, where they are not allowed to progress within their job role. That is why it is very important to inform yourself about training in your future job. Think about it and do not underestimate this factor.
